EDV Werke is looking for a Red Team Consultant

Working Model: Remote

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract

Tasks:

  • Internal Red Team Capability Development – Supporting the design and establishment of an internal red team capability within a large enterprise security organization.
  • Red Team Governance and Scope Definition – Defining mission scope, operational boundaries, and rules of engagement for internal red team activities within corporate environments.
  • Red Team Operational Model Design – Advising on the structure and operation of continuous internal red team programs compared with traditional external red team engagements.
  • Security Process and Playbook Development – Creating internal red team playbooks, operating procedures, and reporting standards for consistent and repeatable operations.
  • Security Governance and Compliance Alignment – Ensuring red team processes align with enterprise governance, risk management practices, and internal security policies.
  • Security Advisory and Stakeholder Coaching – Acting as a trusted advisor by sharing best practices and guiding internal security stakeholders on effective red team operations.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Internal Red Team Experience – Proven experience working as part of an internal red team within a large enterprise environment.
  • Offensive Security Expertise – Strong background in offensive security practices including adversary simulation and advanced red team methodologies.
  • Corporate Red Team Governance Knowledge – Understanding of legal, ethical, and organizational constraints related to conducting red team operations inside enterprises.
  • Enterprise Risk Management Awareness – Knowledge of corporate risk management practices and their impact on internal security testing activities.
  • Technical Communication Skills – Ability to clearly explain complex technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
  • Senior Red Team Experience – More than six years of professional experience in offensive security or red team roles within enterprise environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Internal Red Team Program Development Experience – Experience setting up or scaling an internal red team capability within a corporate environment.
  • Purple Team or Detection Engineering Experience – Familiarity with purple teaming practices or detection engineering to improve defensive security capabilities.
  • Offensive Security Certifications – Industry-recognized certifications related to offensive security or red teaming are considered beneficial but not mandatory.
