EDV Werke is looking for a Onsite IT Support Specialist
Working Model: Onsite – Kuala Lumpur
Form of cooperation: B2B Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- End-User Support – Provide onsite troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Service Request Management – Handle IT service requests via ticketing systems, email, and phone calls, ensuring timely resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Onboarding and Offboarding Support – Assist staff during onboarding and offboarding processes, including setup, configuration, and deactivation of IT accounts and devices.
- Collaboration Space Support – Maintain and support meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, video conferencing equipment, telephony, displays, and PA systems to ensure seamless functionality.
- Device Installation and Maintenance – Deliver IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change), break/fix, and device swap support for laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Vendor Coordination – Coordinate with hardware vendors for repair and maintenance services when technical issues require external support.
- IT Asset Management – Manage IT assets including allocation, refresh, disposal, and maintain accountability for devices during service acceptance and employee transitions.
- System Administration – Administer user accounts, software distribution, and access control systems, including Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise applications.
- Cloud and Application Support – Configure and support cloud-based productivity tools and client applications, ensuring users have seamless access to required resources.
- Infrastructure Maintenance – Provide onsite support for servers, network equipment, and IT infrastructure; configure and maintain network printers and peripherals in line with IT standards.
- Project Participation – Contribute to local IT initiatives, support global IT rollouts, and coordinate with external IT service providers for project delivery.
- Compliance and Security – Ensure adherence to IT regulations, security policies, and organizational standards while supporting day-to-day operations and project implementations.
Must-Have Skills:
- Educational Background – Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Onsite IT Support Experience – Proven experience in providing hands-on onsite IT support, end-user computing, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Windows OS Expertise – Strong knowledge and practical experience with Windows operating systems, troubleshooting, and administration.
- Microsoft 365 Proficiency – Skilled in configuring, supporting, and maintaining Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services.
- Active Directory Administration – Experience managing user accounts, roles, permissions, and group policies using Microsoft Active Directory.
- SAP User Administration – Familiarity with SAP user account management, role assignment, and access control.
- Server, Networking, and Backup Skills – Practical knowledge of server support, network equipment configuration, and backup solutions.
- IT Asset Management – Understanding of IT asset management processes, including allocation, refresh, disposal, and inventory tracking.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting – Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to handle multiple technical issues simultaneously.
- Communication and Collaboration – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service mindset, ability to work independently, and coordinate with global IT teams.
