EDV Werke is looking for an SAP Ariba Guided Buying Expert

Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP Ariba, including at least 3 years specifically focused on Guided Buying configuration, deployment, and support in enterprise environments.
- Ariba Expertise: In-depth hands-on experience with SAP Ariba modules, especially Guided Buying, as well as familiarity with associated modules such as Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts, and Supplier Management.
- Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of indirect procurement processes, including requisitioning, catalog management, approvals, supplier enablement, and integration points between Ariba and ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC/S4HANA).
- Configuration Skills: Proven ability to configure and optimize SAP Ariba Guided Buying tiles, approval workflows, compliance rules, and user interface personalization to enhance usability and adoption.
- Change & Adoption Experience: Experience driving Guided Buying adoption across business units, including end-user enablement, change management, and process alignment.
- Integration Knowledge: Understanding of Ariba integration techniques and tools (CIG, middleware, APIs) for seamless data flow with back-end ERP systems.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Ability to provide expert-level support, resolve complex issues, and identify root causes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Project Delivery: Track record of successfully delivering Guided Buying projects or rollouts in global, matrixed organizations, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare.
- Training & Documentation: Experience creating training materials, user documentation, and delivering workshops to business stakeholders and procurement teams.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, compliance, and external suppliers to ensure system alignment with business goals.
- Governance & Compliance: Understanding of procurement policies, compliance frameworks, and how Guided Buying can be configured to enforce procurement controls and reduce maverick spend.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, user-centric mindset, and ability to translate business requirements into system design.
- Preferred Qualifications: SAP Ariba certification or equivalent credentials. Experience in industries such as manufacturing, construction, or industrial materials is an advantage.
Responsibilities:

Daily System Support: Provide hands-on support for SAP Ariba Guided Buying, resolving operational issues and ensuring smooth day-to-day usage across the procurement function.

User Enablement & Training: Train and mentor three colleagues located in New Delhi and Kuala Lumpur, focusing on efficient and correct use of Guided Buying features, processes, and best practices.

Configuration of Vendors & Catalogs: Set up and configure new suppliers in the Guided Buying environment, including catalog enablement, vendor integration, and compliance rule mapping.

System Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in the Guided Buying interface, search functionality, approval flows, and compliance structures to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, finance, IT, and supplier enablement teams to ensure alignment of Guided Buying processes with business needs and strategic sourcing policies.

Vendor Onboarding: Manage the technical and functional onboarding of new suppliers to the Ariba platform, ensuring catalog accuracy, contract linkage, and successful integration.

Catalog Management: Maintain and update vendor catalogs, tiles, forms, and user interface settings in Guided Buying to reflect current offerings and procurement guidelines.
- Integration Oversight: Ensure seamless integration of Guided Buying with backend ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC/S/4HANA), resolving mapping issues and supporting the data exchange workflow.
- Governance & Compliance Support: Configure and enforce procurement policies, approval workflows, and business rules within Guided Buying to ensure process compliance and minimize maverick spend.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation: Act as the functional point of contact for system issues, escalations, and defect resolution in collaboration with IT and Ariba support.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Develop process documentation, user manuals, and training materials to support broader adoption and knowledge retention within the team.
- Change Management Participation: Support change management efforts by advising on Guided Buying changes, assessing business impact, and coordinating with stakeholders during releases.
- Reporting & Feedback Loop: Gather user feedback, analyze usage patterns, and generate reports to identify adoption challenges, process gaps, and opportunities for Guided Buying enhancement.
