SAP Authorization Specialist

• User Access & Authorization Support – Handle SAP user provisioning, access requests, and resolve authorization-related incidents and errors.
• Role Design & Maintenance – Create, modify, and maintain SAP authorization roles aligned with enterprise security standards.
• Security Concept Documentation – Document existing authorization concepts and maintain security role documentation across systems.
• Role Testing & Deployment Support – Support testing of authorization roles during implementation phases and ensure readiness for deployment.
• Security Governance & Standards – Develop and maintain standards and procedures for SAP security across applications, Fiori, and HANA environments.
• Risk & Compliance Analysis – Evaluate business risks in role design and ensure proper segregation of duties (SoD) and audit compliance.
• Implementation Project Support – Participate in blueprinting, functional specification reviews, UAT preparation, and go-live cutover activities.
• Process Optimization & Automation – Identify opportunities to streamline role management and improve user provisioning processes.
• Cross-System Security Alignment – Ensure consistent authorization concepts across SAP landscapes including S/4HANA and Fiori-based environments.
• Global Stakeholder Collaboration – Work in international teams ensuring alignment of security practices in a global enterprise environment.

Must-Have Skills:

• SAP Authorization Administration Experience – Minimum 4–5 years of experience in SAP security and authorization role management.
• SAP Role & Security Design Expertise – Strong experience creating and maintaining SAP roles using enterprise security standards.
• Incident Troubleshooting Skills – Proven ability to resolve SAP authorization and user access issues effectively.
• SAP Security Tooling Knowledge – Experience with SAP IDM, IAG, Cloud Identity Services, and SAP provisioning tools.
• SAP S/4HANA & Fiori Security Knowledge – Experience with authorization concepts in modern SAP cloud and on-premise systems.
• Audit & SoD Compliance Knowledge – Understanding of audit requirements and segregation of duties controls in SAP environments.
• SAP Module Awareness – Familiarity with at least one SAP functional module (advantageous for role understanding).
• Enterprise Environment Experience – Ability to work in global, complex organizations with strong security governance requirements.
• English Communication Skills – Excellent spoken and written English for international collaboration.
