Role Summary:
We are seeking a IAM Business Analyst to join our team in remote position. This role focuses on managing and optimizing identity and access management (IAM) systems to enhance organizational security and efficiency. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing requirements for IAM solutions, designing and modeling access control processes, and integrating applications with IAM systems like SailPoint IIQ. The role involves developing detailed workflow designs, creating training materials, and facilitating smooth transitions to new IAM processes. Additionally, the IAM Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs, participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and stay updated on industry best practices to recommend strategic improvements to our IAM strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and Analyze Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, analyze access control processes, and translate business needs into SailPoint IIQ features
- Explain JML Processes: Explain standard JML processes, access requests, and RBAC schema to application owners as part of application onboarding
- Requirements Gathering for Integration: Collect requirements for integrating applications and services with SailPoint from process and application owners
- Process and Data Quality Analysis: Analyze existing processes and data quality during application onboarding to optimize environments before integration with SailPoint
- Design Application-Specific Processes: Model and design processes for access requests, approvals, recertification, and personnel movements within SailPoint IIQ
- Create Workflow Designs: Develop detailed workflow designs for automating and streamlining IAM processes in SailPoint IIQ
- Develop Training Materials: Create and deliver training materials to facilitate transitions to new processes and ensure understanding among QA and stakeholders
- Participate in UAT: Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm new functionalities meet user expectations and requirements
- Communicate Progress and Risks: Maintain communication with project managers and stakeholders, reporting on progress and addressing risks
- Stay Updated and Improve: Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements to the IAM strategy and review system performance for improvements
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
- IAM Business Analysis Experience: Extensive experience in business analysis within IAM, specifically with SailPoint IIQ
- Process Modeling and Design Proficiency: Proficiency in process modeling and design, with a strong ability to translate requirements into functional IAM solutions
- UAT and Training Experience: Demonstrable experience with UAT, training delivery, and user support
- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of IAM Technologies: Knowledge of current IAM technologies, trends, and best practices
