ABAP Developer

EDV Werke is looking for an ABAP developer

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract

Working Model: Hybrid from Kuala Lumpur, full time

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.

• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP programming, including reports, enhancements, function modules, BAPIs, and BADIs.

• Solid understanding of SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules, with the ability to support finance-related development.

• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining APIs (RESTful and SOAP) for integrating SAP with external and internal systems.

• Familiarity with SAP API technologies, including OData services and SAP Gateway.

• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments and Fiori applications.

• Knowledge of SAP ALE and IDocs for system integration and data exchange.

• Strong background in financial transaction processes, including payments, journal entries, invoicing, and cost allocations.

• Skilled in performance tuning, debugging, and resolving issues within ABAP code and interface layers.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ABAP solutions to meet business requirements, with a focus on finance-related processes.

• Customize SAP standard functionality within FI/CO modules to support business-specific needs.

• Build, manage, and optimize SAP APIs to ensure seamless integration with third-party platforms (ERP, CRM, etc.).

• Work closely with integration teams to support secure and efficient data flow across systems.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve API issues to ensure high performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to understand finance process requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Support complex financial transactions and ensure accuracy in SAP financial data processing and reporting.

• Automate and enhance finance workflows to improve efficiency and minimize errors.

• Provide ongoing technical support and continuously optimize ABAP-based finance functionalities.

• Participate in full testing cycles including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Maintain clear, thorough documentation for all developments, APIs, and system configurations.

• Ensure adherence to SAP development best practices, security guidelines, and internal coding standards.
