For one of the strategic IT projects EDV Werke is looking for a System Engineer Mobile Device Manager

Position descripiton:

  • Technologies: MDM, Endpoint Manager, InTune, Android, iOS
  • Location: Remote within the EU
  • Area and form of employment: B2B
  • Experience level: Senior

Your main tasks as the System Engineer Mobile Device Manager will be:

  • Defining and implementing control over exposed devices accessing Company resources
  • Evaluating hazards and consequently update MDM policies and procedures
  • Ensuring visibility and data value encompassing mobile devices linking to Company
  • Examining and updating structure of the mobile device managing solution
  • Assessing and applying remote access safety measures for mobile devices
  • Detailing and conveying methods for data wiping
  • Examining the firewall regulations concerning to mobile devices VPN access
  • Securing web browsing on mobile devices
  • Ensuring transmission of security needs to mobile devices end users
  • Working together with Service Desk and the MDM Support Team, Incident Management Center, Desktop Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering squads safeguarding effective client service, troubleshooting, resolution, restoration, provisioning, and accessibility of the MDM services.
  • Ensuring appropriate fulfillment of requested MDM services for role based contact, authorizations, specific communications, distribution groups, availability, and functionality.
  • Coordinating shift and release MDM services, functions, patches, and upgrades in production involving design, architecture, configuration, staffing, scheduling, impact / risk analysis, approval, communications, testing, implementation, monitoring and operations.
  • Creating & maintaining PowerShell scripts for computerization or task-specific implementation be it locally or remotely.
  • Participating in Disaster Recovery, documents, and testing

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • 5 years of practice in working with MDM tools, such as Endpoint Manager/InTune, if possible in the healthcare business.
  • Demonstrated design, structure, testing, release, upkeep, and support of Microsoft Endpoint Manager/InTune, with Apple Business Manager assimilation.
  • Practical understanding of Android and iOS, macOS and Microsoft Windows Operating systems
  • Organized engineering ventures, responsibilities, and troubleshooting across multiple squads.
  • Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if you had: 

  • Experience with benefits & limitations of the numerous business mobility management approaches involving Android Enterprise, Device Administrator, DEP, BYOD; MAM vs MDM
  • Practice in pharmaceutical or other structured business
  • Familiarity with large, multi-national company
